Havoc's Birthday

I took this picture last Sunday along the north shore of Lake Superior at one of the overlooks on Whitefish Bay. Havoc decided to pose on top of the stone wall for his birthday picture.  The light was very flat due to the cloudy conditions. I used a Vivitar 28mm f2.8 manual lens to capture the scene and worked up a nearly square crop. I increased the brightness, used a layer for shadow and highlights to tone down the bright whites on Havoc's face and to add detail to the dark areas of the scene. Finally, I used TK's Make It Glow at 19 pixels to increase the saturation. K5 IIs, 28mm f16 ISO 640...............................Jim
