Another from our recent foray to the Mara Triangle in Kenya.
We had up to 11 epic crossings on our migration safari this year, more than other years for sure - and many of them with very few other vehicles around. Timing was just spot on - dust, chaos, mood - plus they seemed to like to cross in decent light (usually it can be prone to happen around midday). Our guests were over the moon with nailing images like this, which makes our job of hosting these trips so much easier.

9 commentsMorkel: the wide view really gives the viewer an appreciation for the choas of such a crossing. This one really has to be seen large for full impact. Congrats! Richard
Very nicely done Morkel, I can feel the action in the air!

This is sure loaded with atmosphere and action, Morkel. Getting a clear look at the Wildebeast in the water, lower right adds some good contrast to the dusty gathering at the top of the bank.
Great action and environmental shot. I think you really captured the feeling of the scene. The light and color are also great.
Also had far less vehicles around this year compared to what is 'normal' , but you definitely got a few more crossings and a lot more dust! And what a difference dust makes! Great shots, Morkel, jealous

Very Dramatic I love your placement of the edge. Just a testament to the bravery of those animals.
Cheers,
Hisham.
Fantastic action in this one Morkel. This image really comes alive with the comp you used. Makes me want to go to Africa even worse than I already want to go.
The impact of this crossing image is the wonderful sense of scale you have achieved. Nice work.
