This was pretty normal wave action for a week whiile we were in Puerto Vallarta  two winters ago. Mornings were fairly calm, but by noon the surf was pounding. Not a lot of ocean swimming for me that week.

Sony NEX-6, Sony 55-210 zoom at (160 equivalent),ISO 200, 1/2000 at f8.

That's a fine kaboom, Jerry.  Love the big time wave action.  You've placed it well in the frame.  I like the diagonal of the breaking wave and the white foam ahead of it.  The distant landscape adds some good context and sets the scale nicely.

Nice timing, Jerry.  I really like the spray plume and the breaking wave.
