Bench & Brick Wall

I liked the simplicity of this empty bench against the brick wall. The inspiration for this image was Anil's recent image of the cabinet doors. There is a certain tranquility in both images that I find very attractive.

I agree with your thoughts here on this one, Preston. I might add I do like the faint large white letters on the old brick too. Has a look of a time gone by just a bit. I will say I'm glad you cannot make out the letters, I do not think that would work as well as this is right now. I do also like the appeal of a certain amount of cleanliness to the scene too, no clutter or trash, a bit hard to find on city or town streets in general.

No ideas for change, just looks very good......laugh

This looks real nice, Preston. The age of the wall, the battered bench and its empitness are all thought provoking.

You mentioned the simplicity of this image but at the same time there are many element to it - the fading white paint on the old brick as Paul mentioned, the peeling paint on the old bench and brick pavers at the bottom. It all works very well. Congratulations on the weekly pick!
