Incredible light at midnight on Lofoten islands. The great light started long before I started my descent towards the coast and persisted for a long while after I had arrived at the bottom. Unfortunately, I had to drive a considerable distance to catch my ferry back to the main land early the next morning, otherwise I could have spent a much longer time shooting this other-worldly light show.
Nikon D610 + 18-35 AF-S @ 18 f/16, two exposures blended for dynamic range.

It's a great shot and your blending looks perfect. I especially love the highlights along the tree trunk. The subtlety of the sunstar works very well while the position of the sun makes a for a fine dynamic feeling.
Excellent capture of some incredible light at midnight, Basil. Expertly blended.
Basil,
Powerful scene and well presented with many interesting aspects. The use of the single limb to frame the sun is inspired.
Really sweet light and for me that is what make this image. A beautiful sceen and well photographed.
Sweet, absolutely sweet.

Perfect framing of the sun Basil. Looks lke the tree is trying to catch it. Great exposure. I especially love the overall warm glow with hints of cool color in he sky and water.
