Had enough moon shots? After working on this one (because the original looked too light) I think it may be my favorite for the night of the super moon eclipse. When the clouds started moving in, I was about to pack up because the first cloud was spread over the whole moon. A few minutes later, some openings in the cloud cover drifted over. Glad I stayed! :D

15 commentsStunningly beautiful. I like the small stars dispersed here and there as well. No question about it - we live in a marvelous world.
Terrific combination of cloud and blood moon.
Wayne, I sure wish you'd quit "mooning" us.....
(I tried to resist this, but clearly failed). This is another fine take, where the wispy clouds add a lot to the atmosphere. I like the exposure on the moon here, but could see a bit of dodging in the darker parts of the moon to bring up a touch more texture. The scattered stars add nicely as well.
Beautiful!!!! This will make a gorgeous print.
The cloud drifting in really sets this apart from the many moon images out there. Great detail in the moon.
Real nice, Wayne. This looks great, and I agree it would make a fine print.

Easily the best of the bunch, nicely shot,
What can I say Wayne - but this shot is "out of this world"
Love it Wayne! The clouds add so much mystery to this.
I really like the effect the clouds make inthis image. This is one of the better moon shots. By the time the moon here got to the complete eclipse the clouds had moved in here also. I got some nice image of the moon, but not some that I wanted.
Wayne,
This is the best eclipse photo of the recent lunar eclipse that I have seen. Kudos to you and yest it was definitely worth the wait. We were clouded over in my area.
Wayne: Beautiful shot and I'm glad you posted. We were completely socked in with clouds
. Well done. >=))>
That man in the moon looks shrouded in mystery here Wayne, I really like this!
Glad you decided to wait out that initial cloud cover, excellent results
Great shot, Wayne. My favorite of the series. Really like what those clouds add to this one. Very cool work!!
