Death Valley (WC)

An unknown photographer (unknown to me, I mean. He may be a well known photographer or even a NPN'er) at Death Valley during sunrise last spring.  I had hopes for more color in the sky to go with the clouds, but it never happened. Still an enjoyable morning. D600, 18-35 @22, .3, f11, iso 500, gnd, tripod (single image). crying

Scott, looks like the all around lighting and weather could not have been better here on this morning at DVNP. Seems like the photog may have had Manly Beacon lined up in his sites too. This area of the park has a lot to offer in easy access photo ops.

An excellent image for the WC theme this week........laugh

Scott, I really like the gentle colors in the sky and the mix of clouds (looks like a great morning to be out).  They work very well with the muted colors in the land and make a fine contrast to the rugged landscape.  The placement (and body position) of the photographer add a good touch of human interest.

This is beautiful Scott, the light's fantastic.. Your subject looks like he knows what he's doing (as if the right attire & equipment has anything to do with it) anyway. Subject gives great scale, it's a gorgeous skydevil

Nice light and color. I really like that sky. The photographer adds a nice sense of scale.

Very nice subtle colors and formations.  I like the photographer leaning with the slope.

Nice sharpness, good positioning of the person in the image. What a good way to demonstrate scale in such a vast landscape!
