In The Day's Last Light
A three toothed orchid (Orchis tridentata) captured with the very last of the day's light reflecting off the trees in the distance. The Meyer Görlitz Orestor is my 'go-to' lens on such occasions, giving me the rich oil on canvas feel I was looking for.

17 commentsA nice, more detailed view than the other two images you have posted. I think I like this one best so far.
I like the soft light and the pictorial mood of the BG.

Another beautiful work in your style that I love. Splendid.
This is a beautiful image both for the background and subject... they work so well in combination. Would be hard to chose, but I think this is my favorite so far. Look forward to more!
Wonderful, painterly image with rich colors and detail. Nice mood, too. The simplicity is very pleasing.
The rich warm tones of the bg help show off the cooler toned bloom. wonderful job capturing the light.
Mark: I am really enjoying your style and the results you get. This is a spectacular image.

It's certainly one of my personal favourites from the orchid pictures from last year and I certainly intend to do a lot more work with the Meyer Görlitz Orestor (which really suits my style) this year.
