I love any kind of shorebird so I enjoyed the jacana. I would have liked to be down a bit lower but the shoreline was too muddy even for me to get lower !!!! Also the light wasn't ideal. In Brazil with Nate.

12 commentsMay, this is a beautiful photo. The water, the droplets, the reflection, and that amazing foot! Nicely done!
Terrific image as posted. Shows off the wonderful feet to advanatage.
They do have amazing feet. I have some of the juveniles which are even more interesting which I will post once I get them processed.

That's a beauty May! This works better than a low angle in this case with the whole clear reflection, what a great look at the feet of this bird.
The raised foot and the refection really make this one, nice work May. Ray
Just an excellent image and some "wow" feet!
Outstanding May! The water looks like glass and the details in the Jacana are amazing. The feet are very cool, well done!
Light looks very good to me, May. Lovely reflection image and that raised foot is perfect. Well done.
Very interesting image, May. Love the pose and great look at toes. The angle allowed you to get the reflection, so it turned out well after all.
Cool species artfully captured. Love the raised foot. Thier feet are amazing and certainly assist them in lily trotting. Well done.
Whoa! Love those feet!!!
I saw these animated guys in Argentina when I was there, but never got this kind of view.
A Beauty May
This is certainly different to our African Jacana, but still has the rather large feet, perfectly captured here
