So here's the male of the species to compliment my last post. I noticed two females that were much less weary, along with the one male. No sign of them this morning, most likely they've already moved on..

7 commentsNice male, and good image. Excellent ddetail and a tough exposure that kept detail in the blacks and managed to keep the yellow right on the edge.
Nice one, Howard. Looks like a difficult spot to get focus on the bird. Sharp and composed nicely.
Traveling now so I'm looking at this on a tablet, but the blacks and oranges look good. Nice setting and eye contact.
Love the color combinations Howard, the bright orange bird against the muted green background is very pleasing. Excellent, as usual! Ray
I have been chasing a pair of these that pop up every once in a while at the local marsh I shoot at. I have zero decent shots of them. They are always deep in the trees and only come out to taunt me and fly back in. You have been very fortunate considering my experience. Nice detail in the bird and great color scheme for the image Howard. Nice work!
Very nice habitat image, Howard. Excellent techs with good details on the blacks - the colors make the oriole pop against the background.
Nice job with a difficult exposure in bright light Howard, I like where you placed the oriole in the frame, he's a beauty. It's a little bit busy but that's where you found him.
