Another colorful poppy taken at that wonderful garden in Prince Edward Island in Canada. Like the folded petal and the inclusion of the blue seed pod and bee. Taken with the SX50, F/4, 1/1000 sec., ISO 400.

Hi Patricia. I loved the first one (a big congrats on the EP) and I like parts of this one, but the bud is a bit strong for me. The colors in the main flower are still beautiful. To me it looks like there is some posterizing going on or some jpg artifacts.

Very artisitic again, Patricia. The processing definitely takes this one into what I would consider "Photo Art." Nothing wrong with that, of course; just an onservation. The pastel colors are beautiful and I do like the inclusion of the hoverfly (it's a hoverfly, not a bee), which adds a touch of whimsy. One suggestion: clone out the small black areas around the upper bud center, particularly the small black area at 2:00.

This is a lovely image, Patricia! I love the comp and the pastel colors. I'm not sure about the larger version, the "artifacts" are a little distracting.

This is a great sequel to 'Beautiful Poppy' Patricia. I like the added interest/color of the seed pod & hover fly in this one.
