Another from Bentsen-Rio Grande state Park in Texas.  I liked the nice leafy bg in this one.

7Dii, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Jobu Gimbal on RRS legs, f/5.6, 1/640, iso 1250, aperture priority, center weighted average metering with +2/3 stop compensation for the light bg.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Sharpened the bird a bit and added a bit of saturation with the Vibrance adjustment.  Removed one oof leaf the was in front of the main perch toward the left end-it kept drwing my eye for some reason.  Cropped to 13MP.  Taken at 10:33 am on March 1st under cloudy skies.

I appreciate your comments on the Warbler, and look forward to your input on this image.

Thanks,

I like the pose and the framing by the branches.  The color really pops nicely.  This image does a good job of placing the oriole in its environment.

The surrounding foliage sets the bright color of the bird off very well.  I like the detail in the birds feathers also the highlight in the eye.  Thanks for sharing.

I hope this little fellow doesn't have many predators Dennis because there is no where to hide that colour. The bird is beautifully sharp and I really like environmental shots like this. Graham

Excellent habitat image, Dennis. The oriole really stands out in the leaf environment. I like the comp as it is, but think you can move the oriole a bit more to the center if you have the pixels.
