My first attempt at shooting this remarkably intricate flower. This is a wider view with a mixed bed of flowers in the bg. D600, 150 macro, f11, iso 400, 1/640, HH, single image. Suggestions, questions, and other comments welcome. crying

Scott: Great rendition of one of my favorite varieties of passion flowers. Excellent DOF management and a fine BG. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

Well done Scott. It is not easy to photographe the full flower free of its very close leaves. I love also the pure colors. Beautiful image.

I have tried shooting these before. It is an incredibly difficult one to shoot for me. The thing looks like a beanie for a mad scientist! You've done a credible job here. I like the way the leaves frame the flower. Your POF does a good job of placing the focus and captures a good bit of the flower. The BG is good. My one nit is the OOF leaf directly under the left side of the flower. I think the separation of the flower from the framing would be improved if it were made to go away.cool

Like the total scene from delicate details of the flower to the vignette formed by the surrounding foliage.  A difficult subject captured beautifully!

I have only seen these in person once, Scott.  They look challenging to shoot.  I think this is a great shot.  Nice BG, and nice isolation from the leaves around.  Well done!

I like the centered comp, works very well with the bottom leaves that frame Scott.

Excellent point of focus & use of F/11, great colors & interest with this flowers intrinsic design..

The soft light worked in your favor for this one, nice!devil
