Elephant

For this image I was sat on the ground with my back leant against our vehicle at a small waterhole in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe.

Safe enough if you do not move suddenly.

Man, that's close. I bet your heart was racing. I like the low angle on this one.

Just a beautiful image.  The low vantage point makes the elephant look so large.  Thanks for sharing this.

Wow Ken!  Looking at the specs (105 mm) and I'm assuming no or little crop then this big fella was really, really close.  I love the angle as it emphasizes just how big Elephants are.  Well done!

Okay, but it doesn't look safe.enlightened And at 105MM, you had to be breathing elephant breath. Excellent shot, capturing the complexity of elephants. I like it very much.

Regarding Safety Matriachs are by far and way the most dangerous, especially when youngsters are around, Everytime I have been charged we have been in a car or very nearby, not that a car can always outrun a charging Elephantsad

Only do this sort of thing if you are with a very experienced guidedevil
