Fox & the Feather
The Fox Kit was very young and curious as it emerged from its den, with the feather on it's mouth.
Evidence from moms recent contribution to the 4 kits.

You got great light here on this little fellow that really shows some fine fur detail and color. The pose is outstanding and the feather is an added bonus. I'm loving the back ground which allows the subject to separate perfectly.
Good luck to you, Ann and Kate during your upcoming December Exhibit, hope you sell plenty of pieces to close out the year with a pocket full of folding money.
Lying in the grass seems to be working well for you, enjoy it before the snow . . .
Hello Mike
Yes, light was excellent, enjoy the time watching these guys and their playful antics. Sometimes I chuckle at their antics and sometimes they have heard me and stop to look where the noise came from. ...I am completely hidden ( i think ) and do this hiding to allow the kits natural movements etc... They have seen me several times as I walk to the barn and work with the horse but I limit their People exposure and do Not encourage any human interactions and No feeding the Foxes!
Yes, the upcoming Show in December is exciting to include daughter Kate & wife Ann to exhibit their Art with me. We are planning about 10 pieces each to exhibit, Kates Art in oils can be very large ( over 5 feet sometimes). Ann who does Equine & Wildlife in pastel will be focusing on Wildlife this show.
Really Appreciate you taking time out to comment...:)

The perky ears and slight head turn pose is wonderful and the exposure looks very very nice. It took my eye a moment to "discover" the feather, so I suppose in a perfect world it might have jutted out at a different angle. I would selectively darken the very faint line (out of focus grass stem?) that crosses the subjects right ear to eliminate any chance of the eye finding it. Neat shot!
These young foxes really make lovely images. I like the pose you have captured here, its one of concentration. Very sharp details and the fox kit really stands out well against that dark background. I'm afraid I failed to find any active fox dens this year. Graham
Bill,
This is marvelous, innocence is perfectly captured
Hello Lon, Yes the Feather is not as obvious, but makes you look deeper into the image !
Graham, attention is no problem wih these little guys, Just being prepared to act on their very quick movements is a challenge.
Ken, ... Isn't youth wonderful !
I put down the camera and enjoy the developing scene many times !
Great Feedback, Thanks for taking time to comment!
