I thought that this may be "interesting", this female Cheetah was avoiding the sun even though it was first thing in the morning and still quite cold. She got up a little later.

Interesting graphic composition here, Ken. I like the delineation between gold and green.

The exposure control in this image is really good. Looks like this lady could be the one that sadly lost 5 cubs just before you arrived

Beautiful setting ...Like the exposure on the cat ....soft , low keyed...sharp.... the opposing backgrounds , showing triangular ,really pleases me, but think the brightness of the yellow background is somewhat overpowering and maybe toned down a small amount?

Thanks everybody, I was interested to see what people would say especially regarding the exposure and processing
The comp feels just right and I think the exposure/processing works, too. I might tone down the yellow of the sunlit background a little.
I really like this image. I've gone back and forth a few times about the brightness of the background. The brightness of it is a bit distracting but OTOH it emphasizes the "avoiding the sun" part of the story. Either way a great photo of a regal subject. Nicely done.
