I was just leaving Four Mile River in Ct, when this Snowy Egret handed in the grass.  The shot was taken hand held and I made some cropping, exposure and clarity adjustment in Lightroom.

Sweet image, Peter.  I like the pose and the grasses.  The dof is just perfect and the patch of lighter colored in-focus grass helps lead the eye to the egret.  My only nit is the blob of light colored oof vegetation in the upper right that tends to draw my eye.  I don't know if Lightroom has decent repair tools or not as I do that kind of thing in Photoshop, but if it does, you might consider removing it.  Nice details in the whites as well.

good subject placement, exposure is dead on.  sharp.  I agree with Dennis about the beownish OOF grasses.  PS would get rid of this easily.  nice job.

Great basic egret shot Peter. Nicely handled whites and greens.

Very nice Peter.. I like the bands of light to dark grasses, great exposure & detail.

I would remove the small light brown cluster out in front if it was mine, easy to do.

Well done & have a great weekend!devil
