What a wonderfully very evocative image with a beautiful color palette and light. I really like seeing the difference between vegetated area and the area with the dead trees in the distance. The lone oryx is well placed in the frame. A minor suggestion would be to dodge the oryx just a bit. Great otherwise. Richard

Love the mood and the light in this one. The tension between the bleak background and the green in the foreground makes an interesting story as if the Oryx is leaving in to exile or something. Well done.

Put this one on a wall. The lighting is more than dramatic, creating a sense of mystery in the brightness of the distant zone of leafless trees, contrasted by the foreground backlit shrubbery, perfectly edged in bright green. It is most interesting to me that in 99 percent of instances I would find an animal walking away from the lens to be less appealing than not. However, here it feels as if he is perfectly moving into the light in the gap between the large bush and the bright background. Comp is excellent. Congrats on nailing it.

I keep returning to this very intriguing photo. It really is exceptionally good. Has the Oryx been banished? Is it seeking to go where no oryx has gone before (sorry about the Star Trek reference, it just popped into my head)? We often want to see eyes and animals coming toward us, but this time walking away is as it should be. Well done.

Excellent light and nice DOF separates the subject from the lovely hazy background. Terrific habitat image Gorazd, congrats on your WP!
