Passion For Colour

The woods always inspire me...I take a lens with me and see what I can do with it..On this particular occasion I had brought the 50mm f/1,8 which full open delivers a nice bokeh. The purple beeches did the rest :-)

Nikon D800E, Nikkor 50mm f/1,8 @ f/1,8, 100 ISO, 1/800s

Am not entirely sure if I'm posting it in the correct category, though...where do leaves fit in? ;-) - I suppose the closest by leaves are close-up?

Ingrid, this is gorgeous. Very artistic. I like the way you framed the abstract bg colors with the foreground leaves. My only minor nit is the watermark which detracts from viewing the image, but I understand the issues there. devil

Regarding where to post, I would have posted this in flora, because I don't think it's a close-up, but NPN gives wide discretion to the poster on where to post, so I'll leave it here unless you want me to move it. crying

Yes, sorry about the watermark, but that's just the way I choose to do it... tried to make it nice looking, though enlightened

Ingrid - Wonderful colors as bokeh rendition nicely bracketed by the leaves. The picture for me is more about the colors than the leaves here. Makes me want to try some photos like these.

Lots of neat colors here Ingrid, with just enough leaf shapes to connect to reality. It's a very dreamy view...think I'll just lay back and get lost in a daydream... As far as where to post, I think it fit best fits in flora but it would also fit in Landscape and yes this doesn't fit neatly in any of the existing categories, yet it's a fine image.

Must be seen large to be appreciated. The colors blend beautifully, and the leaves framing them are nicely in focus. Good eye to see this and thanks for sharing it with us.
