This little guy was food-begging, likely only recently out of the nest. Early evening, Valdez, Alaska.
90% of full frame. Slight brightening and sharpening of bird.
C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

9 commentsHi Jim,
This one caught my eye with the brightly colored flower spike. Is this flower fire weed? The bird is pretty sharp and I like the placement because you did not sacrafice any of the flowers by moving the bird to the left........................Jim
Lovely composition perched on the fireweed, Jim. On my monitor, it looks like there's a slight bluish color cast, but maybe it's just the shadows on the breast.
The bright colorful perch is excellent. Nice pose of the Sparrow, nice work. Ray
The fireweed leads you right to the bird. Nice placement. Nice colors although I also see a hint of cast but not too bothersome.
Beautiful bird, nice perch, great bg.
The colourful perch really sets off the bird. lovely sharp image and I like the tonal background. graham
HI Jim
It is nice to see fire weed again, I spent two years in Alaska playing Army. The framing and detail are very nice.

What a beautiful perch for this youngster to pose upon for you Jim.
And you captured him beautifully, an intriguing pose with excellent details.
Sweet One!
Really like the perch and comp in this one Jim. Very nice work! BTW, I am not seeing the blue cast a couple mentioned...but with that said, if you warmed this up a tiny bit, I am actually curious if it would give it an extra punch to the bird? Either way, I still like the image a lot.
