Greetings! Here is a recent image of a Cloudless Sulphur butterfly taking nectar from one of the zinnia flowers in my backyard garden. I had been trying to get some shots of a male cardinal in the shade, so I had pushed the ISO up, I forgot to reduce it in my excitement of seeing the very fast Cloudless on some flowers. I think the image came out pretty well considering. Thanks for looking. Comments are welcomed.

4 commentsYes, very clean for iso 2000, Charlie. Love the contrasting pink and lemon green colors, especially the specs of pink in the sulphur's wings. I like the comp as well.
This looks fine (especially for iso 2000). The colors in both the sulfer and the zinnia are great and work well together. You've got excellent details in the bf.
Hi Scott and Mark. Thanks for the compliments! The sulphurs are so fast. I was glad to have been able to get the shot.

Great details, colors, and light, nice look at this CS nectaring Charles.
They do quite a bit of flittering about as you say, and the darn things are hard to approach..
Haven't seen many yet, they mostly move through here late summer, early fall.
Well done
