Growing and growing

Canon ID Mark IV, Canon 600 mm + 2.0 converter, tripod, F8, 1200 mm, 1/1000 sec.

Last week I went to see if the chicks of the European storks that were nesting close to my home were doing well (Last year they weren't able to raise chicks). As you can see on this image the chicks are doing really well and when they were alone on the nest it seemed that there was still plenty of food for them to eat. Although both chicks were equal in size the one on the left was clearly dominant over the other. It was trying its wings, but fell over on its beak. Not ready to fly.

Hi Betty-Lou

That is a really nice shot for all that glass.  Good Work.

Good image equality for that incredible amount of glass, Betty-Lou.  I like the interaction between the adult and the chicks.

A very nice behavioral shot, Betty-Lou. A pretty amazing yard bird, too. If you have Photoshop, you might try adjusting the Highlights (Image -> Adjustments -> Shadows/Highlights to pull down the brightness of the backs just a bit.
