Scott: They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. I think you are flattering Ram with this one. Beautiful color palette and lines and a super management of DOF. Terrific in every way. >=))>

Awesome eye to see and complete this picture.  Graceful flow and beautiful colors.  A winner for sure.

Scott - I like the caption indecision

Very nicely done. Good focus in both petal edges even after separation. I think you are getting a feel for these - get that short macro lens as soon as possible and you will begin to do these even better.

Nothing imitative about this. I think this stands on its own as an excellent work of abstract photography. I like the roundness of the petal edge on the right, almost like a curtain opening.cool

Did think this was Ram's, Scott ( though the title should have alerted me !! ).  Beautiful, delicate colouring and a fine composition - all setting up a dreamy mood. Have never tried anything like this so I don't fully appreciate the possibilities but I wonder if the petal edge near the top might contrast more in sharpness with the soft surround ?  Most accomplished in any case !!

I love the strips of different colors and softness.
Scott, have you tried different rotations or the rectangle?

Gigi, I preferred this in a vertical orientation. The only issue was which way. This is actually rotated 180 from how it was shot.

Scott, beautiful flowing lines and gradient pink color. It does look like a curtain opening. I might brighten it up a bit, but that is just personal taste. Really nice as presented!
