I awoke one day last week way too early for my liking on a work day. Since I couldn't get back to sleep I grabbed the camera and heading down the road to this little nondescript lake I have been shooting at lately. Walking around the shore I spotted the old fence running into the lake and decided to use it as a leading line to the sunrise. Theres a lot of wildfires burning in BC right now and all that smoke in the atmosphere is adding a bit of extra color and warmth to the sunrises and sunsets. Was able to get a handful of shots of the sun appearing on the horizon in just before I had to pack up and rush off to work.
Thanks for looking, comments appreciated.

3 commentsBeautful sunrise with very nice color and reflection. The fence makes a nice leading line.
Carey: that's a wonderfully evocative scene. The fence leading to the just visible rising sun adds nicely to the image. I also like the rich but not overly saturated colors. The only minor suggestion I have would be to lighten the foreground just a bit, particularly the bottom most portion. Congrats on a great capture. Richard
Carey, This is really nice! I like this comp and the light, sky and reflections are all wonderful. Looks great (especially large version) just as you have it here. Beautiful work and certainly worth loosing some sleep over.
