My cousin Larry Meeks passed away this January 23rd after a long battle with cancer (far left, white hat).
The family reunion in June 2014 was the last time I talked with him. This post is dedicated to Larry, until we meet again..

So sorry about your cousin, Howard. This is quite a crew. Looks about the right size for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner at my Grandparents farm in western Nebraska... I see several who resemble your pic in the NPN Photographer's Gallery, but none that I'm sure is you. We're you hiding behind the camera (my favorite picture spot )?

Howard, truly sorry to hear about your cousin. I believe you'd posted this at some point before which lead to our discussion that your sister only lives a couple streets away from me here in Corona, CA. It is a fine gathering and the photo should be cherished by all who were there and who may now be additional family members.
I envy your gathering there and can only recall sharing in similar gatherings with many relatives from my own family in the past. However, that has changed dramatically over the last 15 years and our family is a fraction of what we were back then. Sadly, the hardest part of life for me personally is seeing others passing on & of course the family pets being a big part of our families too.

Great Image to dedicate to Larry, everyone looks happy and all smiles. I'm thinking either the 'Come and Get It While It's Hot' call just went out or you told them this was going to be the last picture you will be taking today. Either way, you got'um smiling.
