A closer view of the Mayfly positioned on bluebells that I posted a couple weeks ago. Interestingly, there was such a huge swarm of mayflies in NE Ohio last night, that it was picked up on weather radar. It looked on radar like a large storm was over Lake Erie and Cleveland, and headed this way! D600, 150 sigma macro, iso 500, 1/80, f8, tripod.  Comments, questions, and suggestions welcome. crying

Scott, you've got great details in the mayfly's wings and body in a fine setting.  How neat that the swarm was picked up on radar!

Beautifully detailed capture of the insect, Scott, which is shown off very nicely on the plain ground and against the soft blue of the flowers.  The ` tails ' disappearing into the distance are especially fascinating.

A fine closer view of the Mayfly, Scott. Great details in the wings, sharp eye, nice diagonal composition. Well done!

Hi Scott,

Pretty cool story and image. Have you ever thought about doing a stack?  Mayflies like to sit still so you can get a few taken for increased DOF. The colors of the flowers, Mayfly, and BG go well together and the mayfly has some nice capturede details too.........................Jim
