A favorite amaryllis variety that bloomed for an extended period of time. Taken with SX50, 1/800 sec., ISO 800, +1, F/5. Background is snow.
I always appreciate comments and suggestions. Thanks for viewing.

I love the lines and the high-key BG, Patricia. Wonderful! Nice unconventional comp too.

Patricia, this is almost like a plate in a biology textbook. Exquisite lines and colors in a high key presentation.

This is truly artistic, Patricia. I was wondering about the bakcground before I read your description (I always tend to do that, read only afer I have looked at and puzzled over the image for a while). I think that the way you used the snow to your advantage is really beautiful.

Excellent graphic quality to this, Patricia, with the white bg making the perfect foil for the flower's sober colouring. I'm not usually in favour of copyright flourishes but this works beautifully on the neutral ground.

Patricia: Elegant was my immeidate first impression. Because of their large size I don't shoot amaryllis a lot so this is a treat. Superb result. >=))>
