Juvenile Burrowing Owl

May 30, 2015 in Apple Valley, California, Tjie Poo and I photographed this family of Burrowing Owls.  This juvenile was the most bold of the 5 juvenile brood, and made a fetching subject.  While this shot showed most of his body, I am intrigued by the head shot.

Nikon D4  Nikkor 600mm  1.4TC  850mm  White Balance Auto  RAW  1/1250  f/8  ISO 320  Shot from the car window with a bean bag.

Thank you for your feedback!  devil

Cute image of this little one Patrick. I like the different take on a portrait comp of this guy, it's not easy to display a portrait of a bird with this shape and you handled it well.
