From the early 70's, sung by a British pop group (not the Beatles). Nikon D300s, ISO 400, 300mm f2.8 with 1.4tc, Shutter 1/640. Thanks! Ray

This is a funny shot--the blackbird looks like an ornery backseat driver. The large view is very nice and the diagonal presentation works well. The composition is tight in the frame, but is needed to show the rwb on the back of the hawk. Well done.................Jim

Looks like you're trying to revive that "old wives tale" of migrating hummers riding on hawks.... If this is a single shot, your timing was excellent for getting the Red-wing just after it struck the hawk. Excellent detail in both birds. I've got a title "Blackbird Fly" lurking in my head, but I can't put any words to it.

Thanks all. Mark this is one shot. Redtail was raiding the Blackbird nests. Blackbirds were mobbing and chasing. Got this right as the hawk was flying overhead back to his nest. Nice guesses, I was thinking of "Hitchin a Ride" by Vanity Fare. Other suggestions work too.

Too Cool Ray,
If it were the Beatles, 'Ticket to Ride' from the 'Help' album would be a nice fit also.
Amazing timing and well captured image.
