A ray of sunlight striking a flower on a Chinese dogwood tree.

As always, nicely done! I very much like the lighting, i.e., the combination of shade and direct light and the way you handled the exposure.
This is a very beautiful composition, Ian, with the flower coming out of the shade. Very well balanced in every respect!
Ian - Great use of the spot lighting here and also of the diagonal !
Ian: Wonderful capture of the moment. I love light like this and you handled it extremely well. Many kudos. >=))>
Ian, Excellent handling of the light and shade. Beautiful as usual.
Good chiaroscuro work! A simple and evocative image, Ian. Well done.
