At least a noisy one.  Pine Siskins don't have themost musical of calls, but they're fun to have around.  I liked the simple perch and bg in this one.  I did bring out the texture of the bg just a bit with Topaz Detail.

7Dii, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Jobu Gimbal on RRS legs, f/7.1, 1/1250, iso 800, aperture priority, partial metering, no compensation.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to 14MP.  Taken in the back yard at 2:42 yesterday afternoon.

Your comments are very much appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Looks good Dennis. Siskins can raise a ruckus for sure.  The larger version is worth looking at and has lots of subtle details plus that open beak pose.  The detail in the eye is amazingdevil.............................Jim

A very sharp capture of this Pine Siskin, Dennis!  The details are superb plus the exposure and colors are right on the money.  We have a lot of these little guys around here and I always enjoy watching them.
