There's a Red-necked Grebe nest on one of the loal ponds that is pretty acccessible. I plan to follow their progress. The hen is one two eggs; there's still a lot of courtship chatter.
80% of full frame. Selective sharpening to birds' heads.
C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

Jim:
The posted image is really dark. Not sure what system you posted from, but something is very different from your usual posts as far as brightness.
I would have to agree with Scott and Keith's assesment of image darkness. Something is different from your normal, spot on, processing. My personal preference would be a little more room on the bottom for the reflections and a little less head room at the top. Great interaction of the grebes. I'll look forward to seeing your documentation the rearing process.
Thanks for sharing this.
Very nice inter-action you captured of this pair JIm. I like the fluffed up crest of the grebe on the left. I am looking forward to seeing the progress of this grebe family through your images This one seems a bit dark on my monitor also.
Neat interaction and I like your compositoin, Jim. I concur on the brightness. It looks like a fun project.
Hi Jim,
The image is a little dark, but carries some strong color and composition. Sharpening looks fine too.....................Jim
