First thing in the morning, two Oribi ran across the plains of Kidepo National Park, Uganda, in the general direction of our vehicle, containing not yet fully wake people.
I managed to snatch a few shots forgetting to use the full length of my lens![]()

5 commentsHey Ken,
Great timing and nicely framed, but I think protective colouration and that pesky and time-consuming step of zooming the lens were both conspiring to thwart you here. Nice colour palette though!

Nice stopping of the action, but it does blend in too well with the BG IMHO. Maybe a lower angle would have helpted. Thanks for sharing.
Great action and lighting Ken, my only wish is a lower angle to separate the antelope from the background more, probably impossible considering you were in the vehicle.
Nice light and timing here! Never photographed these little guys myself - hope to one day.
Thanks for all the comments, I only wish I had been in a better position, and the Oribi's camouflafe did not work so well.
I'll try again on my next visit to Kidepo, there are lots of Oribi there
