If you could, Please click on the larger version of this image to really feel the scene. cool

I enjoyed long day of hiking anf photography yesterday at Starved Rock State Park in Ottawa, IL. I scouted out some nice areas to capture when the light was right, and this image was captured in Illinois Canyon. The combination of Bluebells, Trees, Sandstone, and light really grabbed my attention. I struggled at first with the composing, but was able to see this image. Let me know what y'all think.

Thank you for making some time to stop by and have a look, and maybe leave a thought on how this image makes you feel. Also, how do the greens look to y'all in the bluebells?

Canon 70d, Canon 24-105L,ISO 200, F/20, 1/4 second, Circ Pol, Tripod, cable release, and processed with Lightroom and Photoshop CC with Luminosity masks

Ryan, my feelings are critical, since I don't have a dog in this hunt. I feel this is a well composed image.sad

Simple composition and nice colors and textures. It all works well together.

The composition is very nice, really relaxing if that makes any sense. I can't think of anything wrong, the greens of the plants look good to me! And the patches of greens among the trees are a nice extra.

Definitely like the larger version better.  The rhythm there is much better.  It's a very lovely scene.

original and pleasurable IMHO. I like the particular chromatic and volumes composition (that contrast among low horizontal blue-green stripe and the "wall" with added vertical arrows: the trees. Well helped also by the excellent sharpness.

all the best,

Everything looks spot on to me Ryan. The glancing light on the rocks is sweet, a bit more of it might have been useful to help visually separate the upper tree trunks from the rock BG. The greens are just right especially those in the trees above.

I love the two contrasts: blue flowers against warm rock background, and vertical trees agains horizontal bedding in the sandstone. I think it is very well seen and captured!

An excellent collection of Bluebells, Ryan.  This looks great as presented.  You've handled the trees against the stone very well.

These complementing elements work perfectly together for me, Ryan, and I can feel the freshness of this wonderful spring scene.
