On an early morning beautiful sunlight, I was on my usual search for macro life. I was abruptly stopped
by a butterfly on the ground that I almost stepped on. I squatted and looked closely, but it was dead. Let this image give back life to this beautiful wings...

8 commentsI've seen many full frame butterfly wing shots like this, and tried it myself a few times, but this comp really stands out for me. The way the lines and colors spread from the LRC and fill the frame is terrific. You were able to take good advantage of the opportunity presented. Excellent image.
Well seen and presented . . .
A close-up of a butterfly wing is high on my to-do-list. This is very nicely done, the structure and colors in the wing are just amazing.
Fine image, Swathiraj ! Such a shame about the butterfly but you have indeed given it a touch of immortality; beautifully composed.
Beautiful patterns, and textures Swathiraj. I like the powder blue left that shifts to more of a marine blue right..
I've rarely seen any dead BF's, and when I have they are worn, torn.. or half eaten
Great job, you really did "bring back life" here so to speak
Beautiful, close up look at this wing, Swathiraj. You're choice of framing is perfect. Very well done.
