Galapagos Land Iguana

This was taken during this year's Galapagos photo tour, it's my favorite portrait of this species so far.   Taken on North Seymour Island which is a nice seabird nesting island near Santa Cruz Island.

I can see why this is your favorite - it is excellent! Great detail and the BG color/pattern works well with the subject.

Man I love the textures and tones on these guys! Beautiful light and great decisions in the field (and in post) make this a very, very special portrait of this mesmerizing animal, Nate. The eye is awesome. It strikes me that all of the colours in the entire image cover a very narrow range of the colour wheel really! Beauty.

I think this is a wonderful portrait of the iguana. Some years ago I realized how beautiful the eyes of iguanas are and that is perfectly shown in this image. Like the others I also like the texture and the soft tones in this image. Very well done.

Beautiful detail - especially in the eye!! I find the detail and color of the eye to be hypnotic. The general warm colors also give it a very "ancient" feel.
