2015 Tulips1

Hi all.  Well, my tulip season feels a bit short this year.  Due to a VERY warm spring, out tulips popped early.  A good deal of them popped while we were on a spring break trip.  Then, we had a brutal wind storm and snow storm that hammered most of them at my house.  We DO have Thanksgiving Point gardens that are close, so I have been able to do some shooting there.

This is one of the first ones that I have been able to process.  Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Excellent complementary color relationships, good comp and well thought out DOF.devil

Nathan: Really good POF/DOF choice and overall comp. I like the colors in the subject and the BG is the perfect complement. If this were mine I would be sorely tempted to clone/paint some color into the bright area up top but this works very well as is. Many kudos.devil >=))>

Very effective combination of sharp and soft, Nathan - the ever receding reds and yellows are a delight. My personal taste would be for a slightly less bluish green but that's just me !  Lovely image !

Great start to the tulip season, Nathan. Well composed for the subject and bg. You could crop a pinch off the top to reduce the brightness of that area.
