Great high-key handling Gigi.  A very pretty spray of orchids.  Really nice.

The high key treatment makes the orchid blooms highly translucent and works beautifully.

What a gorgeous orchid shot!  I think everything is spot on, and the only suggestion I can think of is to maybe try brightening the base of the stem a bit so it blends more with the rest of the image.  Great work!

This was obviously yours when I first saw it, Gigi !  Another superb backlit orchid grouping - so light and airy they do indeed seem to fly.

Way to go!   There are not too many ways for making these flowers work ...but the background...high key...and dof you've chosen makes this a winner!  Congrats!

I lkie the high key approach.  However, for my personal touch,  I would clone out the yellowish  bg in the lower right portion and make the bg uniform and lighten the stem.

Gorgeous image Gigi! The flowers are beautifully rendered and really well positioned in the frame.

Very nicely done!

Sanjay

P.S: Curious why you didn't shoot it with the D800? cool

In my opinion you've done a stellar job with the positioning and lighting to render this high key image.  It is just beautiful.
