Sun 'n Shade

Thought this clump of tulips really stood out in the direct sun against the deep shadow. The pleasing grouping and unusual light made it interesting for me. Rather than making it a square, I chose to keep the flowers off-center.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

As always, thanks for taking a look.

Love the back lighting here, Sanjay, it really sets these tulips aglow. I like the off center comp. but could see possibly tightening the crop just a touch.

Wonderful image of the backlit yellow tulips against the dark bg, Sanjay. The tulips have terrific shape and lines. My only suggestion is the same as Mark's - tighten up the comp. :toast:

Sanjay: I like your comp. Marvelous lighting and really good management of the yellow to keep it from getting too hot. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

Very intriguing choice of crop, Sanjay - I think it draws the eye down into the frame in an interesting way, though, like Mark, I also wonder about something a bit tighter. Nice shadow play in the petals.

The transparencies created by the back light are splendid. I love all in this image and can't find any nit.
