Very beautiful image. I actually like that tree smack dab in the middle. I think it makes the image more interesting. A larger image would provide detail to those cliffs which could add a lot. This is one those images where a large image is very beneficial. Very nice.

Dave:

Thanks for sharing the image. Heading up that way in a few days, though sure the mountains and lakes are still locked deep in snow an ice. Not a fan of the tree, perhaps slightly further back with a longer focal length? It appears there may be some pink fringing of the clouds from Dodging of the cliffs etc?

As always nature is what it is so I am not part of any possible "chop the tree down" gang.

Great vision of the dramatic mountains! Cheers: Tom

Very lovely scene. The magenta in the clouds feels a bit off.

I'm not too sure about the tree in the middle, it feels as if it is blocking my view a bit. Otherwise it's a very nice scene! There does seem to be some magenta in the sky. If it's from post-processing I would try to get rid of it.

Your words of appreciation and feedback are truly appreciated. Thank you. A word about the tree—one of the goals of image making is creating points of interest, that is selecting where you want the viewer to linger. There can be primary and secondary centers of interest. That tree is in the primary center of the frame, a wild gamble. My idea is that you linger there for just a second before looking behind it at the overwhelming grandeur of the cliffs. Obviously it works for some and not others. But at least that is what I was thinking composing the shot on a day so uniquely beautiful, even a box camera would have produced winners.

I like the scene a lot, very pretty and very well composed, except for the tree in the center. I feel like I am trying to look around it.
