Made my first scouting trip to Washington County yesterday. Most of the wildflower sighting sites have observed few flowers so far with a late bloom expected. Of course I had to see for myself and did little other than what others have seen. We have had pretty abundant rain but not a lot of sun thus the delay. I did find a few phlox during my search for bonnets and paintbrush and liked this little bunch. Hoping for better luck next weekend. All comments welcome. >=))>

An excellent, colorful grouping of phlox, Bill. Very nicely composed - especially with the one shooting off the top.

Bill, do you think a good time to go to the area North of Brenham would be this Friday (too early?) or next week? Remember the Bluebonnet Festival starts the 11th, so, many flowers could be trampled after that.

Great color combination between the phlox and the bg. Very eye-appealing.
