Modest and neglected

Violets are simple, humble and neglected even by photographers yet they can be very nice and elegant. Spring is their time.

On the windowsill of our kitchen, at dawn. Back lit for filtering all its transparencies, full of light, low color saturation.

Excellent Gigi! The background works very well with the colors of the flower. As usual, you have brought out all the wonderful details in the flower with the light. Absolutely gorgeous!

Gigi this is stunning!! It has a watercolor feel to it that is all the more remarkable because of the strong back light - nicely done!!!

Those are some awesomely gentle and inviting colors, Gigi, and this view really shows them off well. Pansy's and violets may be common, but they are indeed beautiful.

Love the backlighting, Gigi - it brings out the delicate dance of the petals and their soft colours beautifully. You have made a speciality of photographing this humble flower. Gorgeous !!!!
