Left-Brain ….Right Brain

A single photo of a hellabore blossom. I wanted to see which version I preferred…and liked both for different reasons. So it is a ‘tie’…no winner. How about you?

Ken, I looked at the larger photo to help choose a winner, but it didn't help. They are a tie to me too! Both are great. :toast: I wouldn't normally think of converting a flower to B&W (usually I'm a color person), but I'm going to have to be open to that in the future.

This is a fun one, Ken. I think it's a tie, too. This is a particularly appealing hellebore blossom for it's color, texture, and structure.

Ken, I like both versions, but not together. I think each one as a square crop would be excellent. Well done!

Well, you're wrong about no winner! Congrats on the WP and they are BOTH winners. Very captivating quality to each. I am a sucker for B&W...could probably get along happily if the colour info fell out of my sensor, and the conversion here is stunning. However, I will say there is almost a feeling of the B&W version looking like a negative. It's clearly not, but if you view it on its own, it did cross my mind. I'm not sure that is a...well, a negative thing however! Very cool and I like the presentation with both.
