Thanks for your input on my previous two chickadee images. If you don't mind, I thought I would post one or two more before moving on to another species. I'm not a fan of featureless backgrounds in nature pictures, but again I am wondering about the snow patches here being distracting.

Canon 7D Mark II; 100-400mm.
1/125 sec. @ f/6.3; ISO 1250

I do not find the OOF snow distracting at all, but I do find the tree trunk on the left to be distracting from a very nice image of the chickadee. Thanks for sharing.

nice details and head turn, Wayne. I like the lines of the foreground branches. I might try taking a bit off the left to move the bird just a little more off center.

Very nice shot. The BG, snow, tree trunk are OOF enough not to distract me at all. I am also not crazy about featureless BGs.

Nice head turn form this Chickadee Wayne. I don't find the snow or the tree distracting. These guys are very hard to get out in the open and love the heavy branches. I do however agree about maybe taking off a smidgeon from the left to move it more off center. nice work
