Hopefully my patience has paid off. This mockingbird proved a good sport by hopping onto the limb just when I asked. I like everything about this except the shadow on the bird's lower front. A small limb was cloned below the bird.

My main interest in critique is subject sharpness, but feel free to comment about anything.

Greg, I too like this ... agree about the shadow but a great capture. Sharpness is right on. Perhaps you could give me a lesson on instructing birds to follow commands

Greg,

The sharpness on this one is really good. Perhaps the best of all your posts. Keep shooting, analyzing and trying different things. Pretty soon you will notice that your images are better than they use to be, and not just in sharpness.

Very sharp. Love branch texture and noticed the tone changes from left to right as does the background color. Good bokeh.

Nice capture Greg, I like the pose and the background. Bird is very sharp with good feather detail...and the shadow doesn't bother me, I don't think it detracts from the image much at all. Well done!
