OK, another window shot. This one from the ghost town of Capa, SD. It's along the Bad River in the western half of my state. This is my third try, having screwed up two previous attempts. I used two monolights for the train (150 yards away,) and two Nikon SB-25 flash for the interior. This is getting to close to what I want, but still not quite. I think I'll add an old portrait on the wall and maybe a few old books on the book shelf. It's a long drive out there in back, but I'm having fun with these old houses along the tracks!

Hey Kent,
As mentioned before, I'm really enjoying these old houses along the tracks also, the series so far has been very interesting and your timing of the train is always fantastic. I would like to throw out a suggestion for your next visit to this location. I'm thinking an additional light source outside the door that will lightly illuminate a path towards the train for the viewers eye to follow would add an additional element along with the ones you have already suggested.
 Man !

Kent,
This is a very interesting shot. Keep trying the alternatives. There is certainly a lot to see in it. :toast:

Kent: As an avowed train lover I'm really enjoying your gallery. I think this may be my favorite both for the technical excellence and the composition and timing with the engine in the door and the train through the window. Superbly crafted image. >=))>

Another fine image from this series, Kent. I agree with Mike's suggestion for more light outside the doorway. You're quite skilled with these train images.
