~~ Colorado Travels ~~ Bear Creek ~
The ore rich mountains of Colorado near Ouray give glimpses to what attracted the miners years ago. Bear Creek near Red Mountain #3 with rocks in the creek painted red after eons of iron rich water flowing are a prime example..
Red Mountain is a set of three peaks in the San Juan Mountains of western Colorado in the United States, about 5 miles south of Ouray. The mountains get their name from the reddish iron ore rocks that cover the surface. Several other peaks in the San Juan Mountains likewise have prominent reddish coloration from iron ore and are also called "Red Mountain".
Nearby Red Mountain Pass is named after Red Mountain, and the ghost town mining camp of Red Mountain Town is located at the foot of the Red Mountains.

Very nice sense of perspective in this image. I really feel as though I'm in the stream. It looks as though you had difficult midday light conditions and yet your shadows show a great deal of detail. Many here at NPN like a slow shutter speed for water compositions like this but I'm not convinced that would improve this image a lot. Good job. The best suggestion would have been to take this under more favorable light conditions.

Also, I don't see the hand of man anywhere in this image so I don't know why it's in this forum.

I like it much. detail, colour and tone management, assured composition, all work together to build a strong image.
All the best!
