Hi Rob
Congratulations on pulling this one. I'm amazed at the the detail and low noise in this shot.
Rolls of film apart, my success rate with in-flight shots of terns is probably less than 1%. I haven't seen a Whiskered Tern in four years on Lac Lèman - this one is showing a wee bit more than 5 o'clock shadow!

Hi Rob, I'm in Florida on vacation and there are terns are everywhere and I haven't been able to get a decent shot of one yet. Nice job even if it was horrible light.

Your perseverance paid off nicely Rob. Beautiful BIF capture–the hi key background worked well here and the detail is excellent as well.

Well worth your efforts Rob. Even though the lighting was not great, it was bright enough to cast some delicate shadows which gives this image a lot of depth ...........................Jim

Detail is excellent, wing position really looks like the Tern is speeding along, nice work.
