Fall Funnel

Spending some time indoors during wind chills of 30-40 degrees below zero (after spending lots of time and energy clearing snow from my driveway and roof) gave me a little time to revisit some images from last fall.

I shot this one on my way back from a fall foliage trip, when there was just enough light left to see. I think my lateness was fortunate because I really like effect of the flat light on this scene.

Canon 5D3; Canon 24-105mm.; Circ. Pol.

This works nicely, Wayne. The converging falls give the comp a nice flow and the fall color is like the cherry on top.

Nice flow to this one, Wayne. I like the light and colors. SS speed works very well also with great detail in the water. I've been thinking about all of you folks back east getting hammered. Hope this winter ends soon for your sake.

Nice composition and proper shutter speed for the water. You could have cropped just below the sky if that bothered you. The left fg rock is really nice.

Wayne, Yes, I bet you have been busy with snow clearing. Hope you get a break from it now! This is a beautiful falls and i like the comp you came up with here. A nice flow through the image and good choice of shutter speed for my taste. The fall color tops it off so nice. A beautiful scene!

This is lovely, Wayne. You've got some fine textures and flow in the falls plus that great bit of fall color at the top. I also think you could crop the bright water at the bottom and have an alternate view more tightly focused on the falls.

Nice flow and textures, here, Wayne. I think you could crop out that bit of sky, but this works for me.
