Galapagos Sea Lions

I caught a tender moment between male(left) and female sea lions on San Cristobal Island. I notice that they seem to enjoy rubbing whiskers on one another. This is full frame, I considered cropping some from the left.

Hi Nate,

Nice composition and this photo oozes cuteness  I like the sand grains stuck to the fur of the seals :toast: ...............Jim

Very intimate interaction Nate. The comp works for me, but I could also see it a tad tighter from the left showing just the faces in frame. :toast:

Beautiful moment captured, but I find it tight.

Hi Nate,

Definitely a tender and intimate moment! I've photographed sea lions a lot, and to me the thing that's so cool about them (and shown here) is the amazing number of dynamic social interactions between them.

For me this one also feels a bit tight, mostly on the bottom (junior feels a little too clipped, and wishing those whiskers that are clipped were within the frame). Primes, eh?

Cheers...

Brad
